Hook Rocket License
Acceptance
By downloading, installing, copying, or otherwise using the Hook Rocket software (“Software”), you agree to be bound by the terms of this license. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the Software.
1. Definitions
Licensor
The copyright owner of the Software.
You
The individual or entity exercising permissions granted by this license.
Personal Use
Private, non-commercial use of the Software, including personal projects, experimentation, learning, research, or hobby use, where no direct or indirect commercial benefit is derived.
Commercial Use
Any use of the Software that is connected to business activity, revenue generation, compensation, client work, internal company tooling, or use within a for-profit or nonprofit organization.
2. License Grants
2.1 Personal Use License (Free)
Subject to your compliance with this license, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Software for Personal Use only.
This license explicitly does not permit:
- Commercial Use;
- Distribution of the Software;
- Sublicensing or sharing access to the Software;
- Distribution of modified versions or derivative works.
2.2 One-Time Commercial Use License ($30 USD)
Upon payment of a one-time, non-recurring license fee of $30 USD, the Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Software for Commercial Use.
This Commercial Use License:
- Is granted to a single individual;
- Does not permit redistribution or sublicensing;
- Does not permit offering the Software or derivative works as a product or service;
- Does not permit transferring the license to another individual or entity.
All restrictions in Section 2.1 apply, except that Commercial Use is permitted for the licensed individual.
3. Distribution and Derivative Works
You may not distribute, publish, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make available the Software, whether in original or modified form. You may not distribute derivative works or incorporate the Software into any product intended for redistribution.
4. No Warranty
The Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software.
6. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this license. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
7. Governing Law
This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Licensor resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
